Featuring some of the most heartfelt voices and enormous choruses our ears have ever been treated to, the soul genre encompasses the very best of Motown, Stax and Atlantic, and nobody does it better than our soul wedding bands. There's no sitting still at a soul gig, mind you – there'll be plenty of hand-clapping and foot-stamping to accompany to driving rhythms and funky bass lines, so make sure you've reserved a space for some mad dancing!

There are many different ways of getting those good soul feelings to your guests. We have full soul bands, complete with backing singers and brass sections, acoustic soul bands offering an alternative in the sense of both space and cost, and Ronnettes and Supremes style girl vocal groups, whose synchronized dance moves and outfits are set against some lively backing tracks. So, depending on the size of your audience, venue and budget, you might like to scale things back a little so your guests can still talk amongst themselves, or go the whole hog and get everybody up on the floor!

When you think 'soul', you might think – correctly – of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke, James Brown and, more recently, the late great Amy Winehouse.
