Cotswolds String Quartets
The Cotswolds string quartets available from us here at Bands for Hire comprise some of the most talented local musicians around. Constantly in demand for both wedding processions and receptions, our virtuoso violinists, violists and cellists channel the spirits of past masters Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Beethoven to create a refined air of tradition and grace. Each suite and sonata will contribute to your event's atmosphere of class and propriety, transporting your guests back to a time of unrivalled elegance and grandeur.
Hire a Wedding String Quartet in The Cotswolds
If you envision your garden party, champagne reception, private function, awards ceremony, graduation or corporate or charity event as bearing a similar resplendence to a wedding, a Cotswolds string quartet will most definitely help you achieve this goal. Whatever milestone it is that you wish to cement in your guests' memories, this, the very soundtrack to sophistication, will do the trick.
Our string quartets in the Cotswolds are available to areas such as Alderton, Arlingham, Armscote, Berkeley, Bibury, Birdlip, Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Burford, Chedworth, Cheltenham, Chipping Campden, Chipping Norton, Churchill, Cirencester, Coberley, Colesbourne, Coln St Aldwyns, Daglingworth, Dursley, Fairford, Farmington, Frampton on Severn, Gloucester, Gotherington, Kemble, King's Stanley, Latton, Lechlade, Malmesbury, Moreton-in-Marsh, Nailsworth, Naunton, Northleach, Oxford, Painswick, Pitchcombe, Rendcomb, Snowshill, South Cerney, Stow-on-the-Wold, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stroud, Tetbury, Tewkesbury, The Slaughters - Upper & Lower Slaughter, Twyning, Winchcombe and Witcombe and many more.
Book a String Ensemble in The Cotswolds
For every trio and minuet they play, our Cotswolds string ensembles like to throw in something for the modern music lover. It's not unheard of for Pachelbel's Canon in D to be followed by the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean. Vivaldi, Bach, Saint-Saens and Tchaikovsky are played alongside themes from musicals, films and TV shows like Goldfinger, Star Wars, the Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Les Miserables and the Pink Panther and rock and pop hits by Led Zeppelin, ABBA, the Ramones, the Darkness and Queen, all of which sound fantastic with a classical twist.
More often than not, your string quartet will include two violins, one viola and one cello, as this has been proven over centuries of study to adequately cover the frequencies, from treble through middle to bass, necessary to forge the rich blend of tones that is so pleasing to our human ears. If, however, your venue or budget requires a different formation, our Cotswolds string quartets can by prior arrangement perform as larger string ensembles, string trios or string duos. We're always happy to answer your inquiries at Bands for Hire, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

The Bands For Hire service was very prompt and efficient. I specifically chose Olympia Ensemble as I loved their modern, fresh sound and the wide range of music that they offered. Some quartets are 'stuffy' and old fashioned - not Olympia Ensemble! Everything was perfect from start to finish - they gave us a huge range of music, from classical, jazz and pop, there was something for everyone.
